DUGGH - DoUG G Harris

Just a quick introduction. You probably came to this website because I handed you one of my cards while I was riding my Electric UniCycle (EUC).  EUC's are getting traction around the world, but not so much here in Utah - YET!!   Well, I want to do my part to change that. My name is Doug G Harris (Duggh) and you might be surprised to learn I am 68 years old. I've been fairly active in sports throughout my life but have been a bit over weight and out of shape because of my sedentary profession (computers). All that has changed now that I am retired and especially because I found the most fun form of transportation I've ever known. Here is just a quick overview of Electric UniCycles as I see it. Riding one is a lot like skiing and takes a bit of time learning how to ride successfully. It isn't a toy for children, or adolescents, but is a serious form of transportation. An EUC runs on rechargeable batteries and can usually go between 30 to 50 miles on a charge, depending on the weight of the rider, the average speed, the terrane etc. EUC's are stabilized (forward and reverse) by gyro technology and can go approx. 30-35 mi/hr and some even faster.  I find 15-25 mi/hr is where I am most comfortable riding. Good EUC's cost from about $1000 to $3000, so you can quickly see they aren't something you will want your 10 year old messing with. The rider needs to be someone that can understand the inherent dangers and have a healthy respect for its power and capability. I have 3 EUC's. One very inexpensive EUC I started to learn on to see if it would be something I could learn. Then 2 more, just a bit different from each other to give me the flexibility of different kinds of rides. I basically go everywhere on my EUC's. Since you probably saw me riding,  you know I was riding on the street, sidewalk or parking lot and negotiating lights, crosswalks and traffic. I go to the store, to the bank, to the post office, to the restaurant for take out, basically anything I need and can do alone. I have saved a lot of money on gas and what's more, it is the most fun thing I have done in years.  With this pandemic, it has given me something to just go and do anytime the weather permits. No lift lines, in fact no lifts, and best of all no crowds.  I've gone on several long distance rides and even more short distance rides. My longest ride is 47 miles. In fact I have now gone over 1,000 miles on my EUC's combined. The reason I created this website is because I get so many questions like - what are you riding, how fast does it go, is it hard to get on, how long did it take you to learn how to ride. Well, I want to answer some of those questions and also help others find this incredibly fun and useful transportation tool. I don't directly sell EUC's, but if you hit the link above it takes you to a website that does sell them,  eWheels.com (which I am an affiliate). They are a bonafide USA company with the best customer service you will ever find. It is where both of my substantial EUC's were purchased. Anytime I have had a question, they have immediately responded. They are the best!  So, if you hopefully decide to try this out and buy an EUC from them, there is no wondering who to talk to if there are questions or problems with your EUC. That is why I decided to endorse them and become an affiliate. Also, if you decide to buy an EUC from them, please tell them I sent you. Yes, if you want to learn how to do this, take it from me, it is so awesome and once you grasp the techniques and skills, you won't believe the freedom of travel and fun you will enjoy. If you select the Training link, top right, you can learn about possible one on one training from me.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I sincerely hope it has inspired you to at least investigate the possibilities. Look on YouTube too, there are lots of video's to watch on Electric Unicycles. I'm feeling pretty lonely out here riding my EUC and would sure love to have some of you join in the fun. BTW - The 2 serious EUC's I own are the GotWay Tesla V2 and a KingSong 18XL. Please contact me for any questions or for possible training.
